Our purpose is to help individuals and families have an easier transition from a shelter to an apartment or house, feeling supported by their community, while being provided with help filling their cupboards, shelves and drawers with gently used & new, basic household and personal items, to create a place that feels like home.

What We Do

Approximately twice a month, through a Case/Social Worker, we support an individual or family in the process of moving from a shelter situation to their own home.  With few resources available this would be a tough situation for anyone.  Each client requests items (from a master list we have created) that would help give them the foundation to make their day to day living, and the first couple months in their new home, easier, helping ease the financial burden and stress levels.

 The list of requested items is sent to our members through our Facebook page and email distribution and members Signup to donate gently used items from the list.  Our goal is that within 5 days of posting the client’s wish list we have collected and packed all items, ready to move to their home.  Our typical turnaround time is 72 hours!  That’s what our amazing volunteer team is pulling off!!

How to Get Involved

  • Client item sorting, inventory and packing

  • Financial Donations and Corporate Sponsorship

  • Leading an Incremental Program (i.e. Mother’s Day)
